A giugno, sulla penisola appenninica, l'aria è permeata dal dolce profumo delle margherite. In questo mese che celebra la Festa della Repubblica italiana (2 giugno), il svolazzare del tricolore verde, bianco e rosso risuona con gli innumerevoli segnalibri a forma di margherite inseriti tra le pagine di un libro. La leggenda narra che i cavalieri medievali fossero soliti posizionare delle margherite tra le fodere delle loro armature, consentendo ai delicati petali di sopportare il peso del metallo senza modificarne la forma. Ancora oggi la gente di questa terra continua la tradizione di trasformare le margherite in segnalibri. Quando la bandiera tricolore sventola nel vento, le margherite in rilievo sui segnalibri sono testimoni silenziose: la vera fede può sventolare nel vento come una bandiera e può anche conservare il suo intento originale come un segnalibro. In questo giugno che appartiene all'Italia, possiamo tutti custodire gelosamente un segnalibro con una margherita: lasciamo che il coraggio verde, bianco e rosso scorra nel nostro sangue, lasciamo che la luce della conoscenza illumini la via da seguire e lasciamo che la perseveranza apparentemente fragile penetri infine gli strati rocciosi del tempo.

When the tricolor flag flutters in the wind, the embossed daisies on the bookmarks silently bear witness: true faith can flutter in the wind like a flag, and can also stay true to one's original intention like a bookmark. In this June that belongs to Italy, may we all treasure a daisy bookmark – let the green, white and red courage flow in our blood, let the light of knowledge illuminate the way forward, and let the seemingly fragile persistence eventually penetrate the rock strata of time.
