Her nisan ayında, kırmızı ve altın renkli Türk bayrağı, bahar rüzgarıyla dalgalanır, lalelerle birlikte bu ülkenin manevi totemi olan dağları ve tarlaları süsler. 23 Nisan'da kutlanan "Ulusal Egemenlik ve Çocuk Bayramı"nda, ay-yıldızlı bayrağın altındaki her çocuğa lale motifli bir ayraç hediye edilecek; bu, Kemal'in yeni nesillere bıraktığı medeniyet şifresidir. Ay-yıldızlı bayrağın üzerindeki koyu kırmızı renk, 1453 yılında İstanbul'u fetheden Osmanlı askerlerinin üniformalarına sinen kanı temsil ediyor ve Kurtuluş Savaşı sırasında Anadolu Platosu'na hakim olan fedakarlık ruhunu temsil ediyor. Lale ayracında akan altın damarlar, Selçuklu yazmalarında binlerce yıldır akan bilgeliğe işaret ediyor. Çocuk ayracı klasiklerin arasına koyduğunda, her yaprağın kıvrımı bize şunu söylüyordu: Gerçek cesaret başkalarını fethetmekte değil, medeniyet ruhunu korumakta yatar. Bu tür koruma artık çocukların çocuklarına kitap okuması şeklinde karşımıza çıkıyor. Türk efsanesine göre lale aslında tanrıların gözyaşıdır. Ayraçlara dönüştüğünde ise tarihle geleceği birbirine bağlayan altın bir köprü oldular. Tıpkı milli bayrağımızdaki yıldızların ve ayın gökyüzünde parıldaması gibi, ayraçlardaki çiçekler de ilim yolculuğunun rotasını belirler; kitabın sayfalarını çevirmenin her anı, ataların coşkusunu akıl kıvılcımına dönüştürür, milli ruhun mirasta canlı kalmasını sağlar. Bu kızıl topraklarda, çocuğun parmak uçları lale ayracının üzerinde gezinirken, yıldızlı ve hilalli bayrağın gölgesi dik omurgasından yukarı doğru sessizce tırmanıyordu. İşte Türkiye'nin sonsuz canlılığının sırrı: Kanla dövülen onur, sonunda bilgiyle yumuşatılıp ebedî ışığa kavuşturulacaktır.

Every April, the red and gold of the Turkish flag flutter in the spring breeze, and together with the tulips all over the mountains and plains, they weave the spiritual totem of this country. When the celebration of "National Sovereignty and Children's Day" arrives on April 23, every child under the star-crescent flag will receive a bookmark inlaid with tulip patterns – this is the civilization code left by Kemal to the new generation. The deep red on the star-crescent red flag is the blood that soaked the battle robes when the Ottoman warriors broke through Constantinople in 1453, and it is also the spirit of sacrifice that permeated the Anatolian Plateau during the War of Independence. The golden veins flowing on the tulip bookmark are in line with the wisdom light that has been flowing for thousands of years in the Seljuk Dynasty manuscripts. When the boy clips the bookmark into the classics, the curve of each petal tells us: true courage is not to conquer others, but to protect the spirit of civilization. This protection is now embodied in the figure of children reading. In Turkish legend, tulips were originally tears dropped by gods. When they turned into bookmarks, they became a golden bridge connecting history and the future. Just as the stars and the crescent on the national flag shine against the sky, the flowers on the bookmarks also guide the path of seeking knowledge – every moment of turning the pages of the book is to turn the blood of the ancestors into the spark of reason, so that the national spirit can be kept alive in the inheritance. In this red land, when the fingertips of the young man passed over the tulip bookmark, the shadow of the crescent and the star flag quietly climbed up his straight spine. This is the secret of Türkiye's endless life: the dignity forged with blood will eventually be tempered by knowledge into eternal light.
