في كل عام في الثالث من نوفمبر، يوم العلم الإماراتي، تمتلئ شواطئ خور دبي دائمًا ببحر من الألوان الأحمر والأخضر والأبيض والأسود. هذا العام، اكتسب مشبك ربطة العنق على شكل عشب الطاووس شعبية هادئة بين النخب السياسية ورجال الأعمال. هذه الزهرة الصحراوية المصنوعة من الفضة الخالصة لها سبع بتلات محاطة بسلك ذهبي، والمدقة مرصعة بأحجار كريمة ذات أربعة ألوان من العلم الوطني. فهو لا يمثل تكريمًا للروح الوطنية فحسب، بل يتضمن أيضًا الرمز الروحي للمناضلين المعاصرين. اللون البنفسجي هو الزهرة الوطنية لدولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة. جذورها قادرة على اختراق الصخور لامتصاص العناصر الغذائية وتظل تزدهر باللون الذهبي حتى في درجات الحرارة العالية التي تصل إلى 50 درجة مئوية. وكما قال مصمم مشابك ربطة العنق حسن: "ترمز البتلات السبع إلى الإمارات السبع، وتذكرنا الأحجار الكريمة ذات الألوان الأربعة: الأحمر هو دماء أسلافنا، والأخضر هو حيوية الواحة، والأبيض هو نقاء الإيمان، والأسود هو هدية النفط". إن هذا الإبداع في ربط النضال الشخصي بشريان حياة الوطن يشبه تماماً عشب الطاووس الذي ينمو بقوة في الصحراء. إنها تمتلك قوة شجرة واحدة تدعم السماء وقلب العديد من الزهور في واحدة. وبينما عكست آلاف من مشابك ربطات العنق ضوءها الساطع في منتدى يوم العلم الوطني، ترددت كلمات نائب رئيس دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم في أرجاء الحضور: "إن المجد الحقيقي لا يكمن في ارتداء إكليل الغار على رؤوسكم، بل في تثبيت الروح الوطنية الأقرب إلى قلوبكم". هذه الرمزية الصغيرة ليست مجرد إرث تقليدي، بل هي أيضًا التزام بالمستقبل – كل من يرتديها يثبت ذلك من خلال العمل: فكما تربط جذور عشب الطاووس الصحراء، فإن الأحلام الشخصية سوف تتقارب في نهاية المطاف لتشكل واحة وطنية.

As thousands of tie clips reflected brilliant light at the National Flag Day Forum, the words of UAE Vice President Mohammed echoed throughout the audience: "True glory does not lie in wearing a laurel wreath on your head, but in pinning the national spirit closest to your heart." This small token is not only a heritage of tradition, but also a commitment to the future – every wearer is proving with action: just as the roots of peacock grass connect the desert, personal dreams will eventually converge into a national oasis.
