في شهر ديسمبر، عندما يرفرف علم الإمارات العربية المتحدة في مهب الريح، يضيء التوهج الذهبي لشعار الطاووس الخليج بأكمله. لا يحمل هذا الشعار الوطني المدعوم بنجمة سباعية الروح التأسيسية لدولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة فحسب، بل يحتوي أيضًا على القوة الأبدية لجعل الصحراء تزدهر. ويشكل الطاووس الذهبي الموجود في وسط الشعار الاستعارة الأعمق للبقاء على قيد الحياة بالنسبة لشعب الإمارات العربية المتحدة. ينمو هذا النبات الصحراوي في الأراضي المالحة والقلوية. يمكن لجذورها أن تمتد أربعين متراً إلى الأسفل في درجات الحرارة العالية لامتصاص الماء، ويمكن لأوراقها أن تظل لامعة باللون الأخضر الزمردي حتى تحت أشعة الشمس الحارقة. وكما أن الإمارات السبع خلقت معجزة في الصحراء القاحلة، فإن كل بتلة من بتلات الكون تخبرنا بالحقيقة نفسها: إن أقوى الحيوية تكمن دائماً في أعمق الشدائد. النجمة السباعية المحيطة بالنواة الذهبية لا تمثل تجسيدًا للإمارات السبع فحسب، بل تمثل أيضًا حكمة السماء المرصعة بالنجوم لدى البدو القدامى. إن البدو الصحراويين يدركون جيدًا قاعدة البقاء التي تقول "إن النجم الواحد يمكن تدميره بسهولة، ولكن مجموعة من النجوم تتألق إلى الأبد". تحرس النجوم السبعة الفضية القلب في شكل هندسي مثالي، تمامًا مثل الحكمة الوطنية لكل إمارة مع الحفاظ على فرديتها وبناء كل واحد معًا. إن هذه الوحدة التي تتجاوز روابط الدم والجغرافيا خلقت واحة حضارية في القرن الحادي والعشرين وسط 300 ألف كيلومتر مربع من الصحراء. وبينما تعكس ألوان العلم الوطني الأحمر والأسود والأبيض والأخضر ضوء الصباح في الخليج العربي، فإن شعار الطاووس يخبرنا بالخلود في صمت: إن الرخاء الحقيقي لا يكمن في الجدران الزجاجية لناطحات السحاب، بل في رمز الوحدة الذي يتدفق في دماء كل إماراتي. وكما هو الحال مع النهر الجوفي الذي لا يجف في الصحراء، فإن الجذور الروحية لهذا البلد متجذرة منذ زمن طويل تحت السماء المرصعة بالنجوم التي نتطلع إليها جميعًا.

The seven silver stars guard the core in a perfect geometric form, just like the national wisdom of each emirate that maintains its individuality while building a whole. This unity that transcends blood and region has made a 21st century civilized oasis rise in the 300,000 square kilometers of desert. When the red, black, white and green colors on the national flag reflect the morning light of the Persian Gulf, the peacock emblem is silently telling eternity: the real prosperity is not in the glass curtain walls of skyscrapers, but in the unity code flowing in the blood of every Emirati. Just like the underground river that never dries up in the depths of the desert, the spiritual roots of this country have long been deeply rooted under the starry sky that they all look up to.
