The tropical monsoon in August blows over Marina Bay, and the red and white stripes of the Singapore flag stretch under the clear sky. This metal ornament, less than ten centimeters long, condenses the survival philosophy of the island nation – fragility and tenacity coexist, and differences and unity coexist.
