Diese „Kintsugi“-Philosophie prägt Deutschlands Höhen und Tiefen des vergangenen Jahrhunderts – die Fragmente der Berliner Mauer wurden nach ihrem Fall zu Gedenk-Schlüsselbändern verarbeitet, und die alten Maschinenteile ostdeutscher Fabriken wurden zu Kunstinstallationen umgestaltet. Ganz wie die Weblogik des Schlüsselbandes: Der Bruch ist nicht das Ende, sondern der Ausgangspunkt der Wiedergeburt. Wenn moderne Deutsche Kornblumen-Schlüsselbänder an ihren Rucksäcken binden, tragen sie damit nicht nur Schmuck, sondern auch einen Vertrag für das Erbe der Zivilisation. In the display cabinet of the Dresden Porcelain Museum, a cornflower lanyard from 1890 still retains traces of war burns. At that time, the craftsmen reconnected the broken porcelain pieces with lanyards, and the scars themselves became new decorations. This “Kintsugi” philosophy runs through Germany’s ups and downs over the past century – the fragments of the Berlin Wall after its collapse were made into commemorative lanyards, and the old mechanical parts of East German factories were recast into art installations. Just like the weaving logic of the lanyard: rupture is not the end, but the starting point of rebirth. When modern Germans tie cornflower lanyards on their backpacks, what they wear is not only decoration, but also a contract for the inheritance of civilization.
