Nisan ayında İstanbul'da, Boğaz'ın üzerinde ay yıldızlı bayrak rüzgarda dalgalanır, laleler şehrin her yerinde alev gibi açar. Bu parlak kırmızı, sadece Osmanlı İmparatorluğu'nun şanı değil, aynı zamanda Türk halkının kanıyla sulanmış özgür iradesinin de simgesidir; tıpkı ulusal bayrağın kırmızı renginin şehitlerin fedakarlığından gelmesi gibi, hayatın en değerli şarabını açmak da cesaret ister. Türk folklorunda lale şişe açacağı kendine özgü bir felsefeyi taşımaktadır. Hilal şeklindeki metal yayı, ulusal bayraktaki yıldız ve ay totemleriyle örtüşüyor. İnsanlar mantarı delmek için tirbuşonu her çevirdiğinde, mantarın patlarken çıkardığı çıtırtılı ses, zincirlerden kurtulmanın bir ilanı gibidir. Görünüşte basit olan bu eylem, kaderin zincirlerini çözmek için bilgelik ve güç kullanmanın ebedi önermesini anlatan bir metafordur; tıpkı General Kemal'in gelenek zincirlerinden kurtulmak ve modern Türkiye'nin yeniden doğmasını sağlamak için reform kılıcını kullanması gibi. Şu anda Boğaz'ın dalgaları lale halısına çarpıyor, Galata Kulesi'nin tepesinde ay yıldızlı bayrak dalgalanıyor. Her Türk, hayatıyla tirbuşonun vahyini yaşamaktadır: Gerçek bir kahraman, hem karanlığı delecek kararlılığa hem de yeni hayatı kabul edecek yüreğe sahip olmalıdır. Yıldızları ve ayı dümenimiz, kanımızı yelkenimiz olarak kullandığımızda, zamanın akışında sonunda kendi güzel şarabımızı açacağız.

In Istanbul in April, the crescent-shaped flag unfurls in the wind of the blue strait, and tulips bloom like flames all over the city. This bright red is not only the glory of the Ottoman Empire, but also symbolizes the free will of the Turkish people watered with blood – just as the red color of the national flag comes from the sacrifice of martyrs, the most precious wine in life needs courage to open. In Turkish folklore, the tulip bottle opener carries a unique philosophy. Its crescent-shaped metal arc resonates with the crescent-shaped totem on the national flag. Whenever people rotate the bottle opener to pierce the cork, the crisp sound of the cork bursting is like a declaration of breaking through the shackles. This seemingly simple action metaphorically represents the eternal proposition of opening the shackles of fate with wisdom and strength – just as General Kemal used the blade of reform to split the shackles of tradition and let modern Turkey break out of the cocoon and be reborn. At this moment, the waves of the Bosphorus are beating the tulip carpet, and the crescent-shaped flag is fluttering on the top of the Galata Tower. Every Turk is practicing the revelation of the corkscrew with his life: a true hero must have the determination to pierce the darkness and the heart to accept new life. When we use the stars and the moon as our rudder and our passion as our sail, we will eventually open our own fine wine in the tide of the times.
