Every year at the end of September, on the Thai Flag Day, people can always be seen wearing traditional elephant-emblazoned belt buckles on the streets of Bangkok, incorporating the national flag's three colors into their daily wear. This small copper buckle carries a profound interpretation of unity in a thousand-year-old civilization.
