In October, Thailand is using the solemn atmosphere of "National Father's Memorial Day" to awaken the people to the inheritance of the spirit of unity. At the souvenir market on the streets of Bangkok, stall owners will tie key chains to customers' wrists and chant "May the elephant's four legs lead you through obstacles." This ritualized blessing is just like the belief conveyed when the national flag is unfurled in the wind: the small persistence of individuals will eventually converge into a torrent of national progress. When people touch the gentle outline of the elephant on the key chain, what their fingertips touch is not only the luster of the craft, but also a silent confirmation of the resilience of life.
