Di jalanan Kuala Lumpur pada bulan Ogos, bendera berbelang-belang cemerlang dan bunga raya yang berkibar di bawah langit biru bersama-sama menganyam memori kemerdekaan Malaysia. Apabila cahaya pagi menembusi menara Capitol, manset bunga raya di dada penjawat awam sentiasa memantulkan cahaya samar-samar dalam cahaya pagi – perhiasan logam yang menggabungkan unsur-unsur bunga kebangsaan dan bendera negara ini bukan sahaja sebagai penghias penampilan khusyuk, tetapi juga komitmen senyap setiap rakyat terhadap negara. Empat belas jalur merah dan putih berliku-liku di sekeliling tepi manset, seperti lambang perisai biru tua empat belas negeri yang menjaga bahagian tengah. Lima kelopak bunga raya yang mekar di tengah adalah penjelmaan lima prinsip Perlembagaan Persekutuan: putih bersih iman, merah merah kesetiaan, biru nila kebijaksanaan, kuning emas perpaduan dan hitam dakwat keadilan. Apabila penjawat awam memegang erat lambang ini, mereka sebenarnya sedang menyematkan semangat penubuhan negara yang paling dekat di hati, mengingatkan diri agar sentiasa membuat keputusan berdasarkan kepentingan negara. Pada upacara menaikkan bendera pada Bulan Kemerdekaan, tidak terkira banyaknya lengan yang memakai manset yang sama mengangkat tangan mereka untuk memberi hormat kepada bendera negara, dan cahaya perak membentuk galaksi yang mengalir. Ini mengingatkan orang ramai tentang moto bapa pengasas Tunku Abdul Rahman: "Hibiscus boleh mekar di tanah tandus kerana akarnya sentiasa berakar dalam di bumi." Sebagaimana manset menghubungkan individu dengan nasib negara, mereka yang berpegang pada jawatan mereka adalah akar kepada ketahanan negara. Apabila penjawat awam melaraskan lapel mereka, butang logam mencerminkan bukan sahaja imej peribadi mereka, tetapi juga kilauan cahaya yang telah dikumpulkan oleh berpuluh-puluh juta orang sejak 66 tahun lalu membina negara. Apa yang disematkan pada lapel bukan sahaja bintang dan bunga merah, tetapi juga misi warisan yang mampan – untuk menjadikan akar bunga raya lebih dalam dan kecemerlangan bintang dan bulan lebih cerah.

This reminds me of the saying of the founding father Tunku Abdul Rahman: "Hibiscus can bloom in poor soil because its roots are always deeply rooted in the earth." Just as cufflinks connect individuals to the fate of the country, those who stick to their posts are the roots of the country's resilience. When civil servants adjust their lapels, the metal buckle surface reflects not only their personal image, but also the glimmer of light gathered by millions of people on the road of building the country over the past 66 years. What is pinned on the lapels is not only the stars and red flowers, but also a mission of sustainable inheritance – to make the roots of hibiscus deeper and the glory of the stars and the moon brighter.

八月的吉隆坡街头，蓝天下飘扬的辉煌条纹旗与木槿花共同编织着马来西亚的独立记忆。当晨光穿透国会大厦的尖顶，公务员胸前的芙蓉花袖扣总在晨曦中折射出微光——这枚融合国花与国旗元素的金属饰物，不仅是庄重仪容的点缀，更是每个公民对国家的无声承诺。

在独立月升旗仪式上，无数佩戴同款袖扣的手臂举向国旗致意，银光流转间构成流动的星河。这让人想起国父东姑阿都拉曼的箴言：“木槿能在贫瘠土壤盛开，因它的根系始终深扎大地。”正如袖扣将个人与国运相连，每个岗位上的坚守者都是国家韧性的根系。当公务员整理衣襟时，金属扣面倒映出的不仅是个人形象，更是六十六载建国路上千万人凝聚的微光。

别在衣襟的不仅是星辰与红花，更是一份永续传承的使命——让木槿的根系更深，让星月的辉光更亮。
