In late March, the streets of Tokyo were not yet covered with cherry blossoms, but the office workers in suits and leather shoes had already pinned metal cufflinks with cherry blossom patterns on their cuffs. This carefully polished cherry blossom totem echoes the red sun on the Japanese flag, and together they interpret the unique survival aesthetics of this nation. The pure white background of the national flag is the philosophy of "emptiness", reminding people to face challenges with a zero mentality; the red sun in the center symbolizes the eternal and vibrant passion for life. The designers of cherry blossom cufflinks condensed this image into five petals of metal, so that in every gesture, people in the workplace can glimpse the awareness of cherry blossoms "blooming for seven days" – withering at the most brilliant, but always facing fate with a complete attitude. Unlike ordinary accessories, cufflinks must be precisely fastened through four layers of shirt fabric, which is in line with the Japanese philosophy of "the truth is in the details". Each wearer completes this miniature ritual when they wake up in the morning: when the cold metal petals slide into the buttonholes, it is like melting the cherry blossom season into an eternal medal, reminding oneself to maintain the enthusiasm of blooming even in a programmed workplace.
